Freaky Friday: Freaky but nothing strange

Freaky Friday is about the exchanged souls of daughter, Anna Coleman, and mother, Tess Coleman. It is a family movie which tells how these ladies exchange their souls by just reading something from a fortune cookie which was given by the owner’s mother while they were arguing with each other at a Chinese restaurant. The passage that they read helped them to understand each other’s situation since Anna is just a teen while Tess is already a mom.

In this family movie, they proved that it is all about the family. The way they fight with simple things and the way they help each other to the problems that every person in a family helps to get rid of it. This is a good movie to watch especially when you are with your whole family because anyone will be able to relate to it.

Of course when we are watching a movie, we are also looking at the actors/actresses skill in delivering their parts. Lindsay Lohan, who played Anna Coleman, and Jamie Lee Curtis, who played Tess Coleman, really did their jobs well and I was impressed especially the scene where they were fighting, it was as if you are watching a real argument of a family. They were good actors but, I noticed that the actors for Anna's friends are not that good in acting though.

Such a good acting, good production and good choice of background music especially when Anna and Tess’ souls were exchanging: the background music was really appropriate to that scene, as well as the ground shaking when their souls went back to their proper bodies. There are also parts in the movie where the scene are really happening in a real-life family scenario.

Overall, Freaky Friday is a good choice of movie to watch with your friends or family, because in this movie you will see the difference of being a teen or being a mother. But of course in the first part of a movie, you will easily know that the ending of the story will make them go back to each other’s souls.

I am going to give them a five out of five stars because the movie was really good though it’s not really connected to the title.

Crave Park: Where you can find the food you are craving for

Enjoyed this day with the ABM bloggers <3
Crave Park is an art themed place where you can find different dishes from different stalls. It has 25 stalls, and has a second deck. This food park is located at Block 3 Lot 22 and 24 Mayor Gil Fernando Street, Centro De Buenviaje, Barangay Sto Nino, Marikina City. The Capuyoc Family envisioned Crave Park as they used arts for the theme for it to attract and encourage people to eat in this food park. The grand opening of the food park was held last October 22, 2016. Initially, this is a great place to eat. Most of the dishes that I’ve tried were delicious.

What an awesome 2 storey
The dim lights

However, the problem of this food park was the lack of lighting: it was really dim at night when it shouldn’t be. The lighting may not affect us that much but what about the others? Also the place does not have a smoking area, so whenever there are people smoking, there’s a possibility that we could inhale their smoke. Another problem that I’ve noticed is their location: it is not that easy to find especially if you are just going to commute. But if you have your own car, you can search the way how to go there, and it is easy to come and go.

Spicy Chicken Wings, Mojo's and Bluelemonade <3
With regards to the prices of the food, they are quite affordable yet worth it. You can have your own strategy for you to not spend too much. To lessen the expense, you can buy a food that could fit to your group and share the amount of the food's prices. Like what my friends and I did when we went there, we split up to each stalls and shared them together for us to try different food. The dish I volunteered to buy was a bucket of twelve pieces of chicken wings. I shared the amount of payment with my classmate. Some of my classmates bought the dishes they want and shared them to us. About the drinks, we chose the blue lemonade flavor. It cost 250 pesos. It was big enough for 4 persons.

Another thing that I like in their place is their second deck because you can see the view of the city, and even though there were no fans, it was not that hot. I like how the stalls are arranged. The lightings are dim yet somehow it’s quite beautiful especially when it is at night. The way the lightings are aligned aren’t good. Some tables don't have enough lightings and it is really simple that everyone who will go to Crave Park will say that the tables and chairs are not attractive. But still, it is a pleasure to have been in this place because they served delicious dishes and I won't regret to have eaten at Crave Park. And there is also a place to take a picture, as if they made it as a photo booth.
If there is anything that the manager of the Crave Park should work on, it should be the lightings for the tables and chairs on the second deck. They can really improve it by decorating it in a very simple yet elegant decoration. They should also put a non-smoking sign for each area to practice etiquette.
Overall, I am going to give the Crave Park four out of five stars. If you are searching for a delicious food and the food you are craving for, the Crave Park will do for you but do not expect too much of it.

"We might not forget, but we can forgive"

For me, it is very unreasonable that the family of Ferdinand Marcos hid his burial to the people. First of all a hero's burial is an event which most or all the people in the country is in favor of. In this case, they hid it as if their actions are showed that they look like criminals hiding from the people. They buried the late President Ferdinand Marcos without the consent of the nation.
It is also unreasonable because he is not a hero. He shouldn't be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Heroes are people who know how to care for Human rights. Yes, Marcos also became a successful President, but what he left to the mind of his nation was his dicatatorship. He is a destroyer of a human rights. As a hero, you must care for the people and protect them, but Marcos acted as if he was a villain.
I didn't experience Martial law and I am grateful that I wasn't born on that generation. However, hearing stories from people who had experienced it, makes me disappointed and I can feel the hardships, the struggles, the sadness that they felt during those times.
As a young citizen, I should be aware of what's happening in this country for me not to be fooled and so that no one can take away my rights as a person. Therefore, it is very unreasonable that Marcos Family hid his burial because the nation and I should be aware of it.
But as a Christian, we must learn to forgive. We might not forget what the late Ferdinand Marcos did, but God gave us a heart who forgives. We are also born to forgive as God forgave us. Past is past and let us not dwell in it. Let us not fill our hearts and minds with hatred but instead, let God fill our hearts and minds with love. God is the God of justice. Let's trust Him. Let go and let God take over.
