Freaky Friday: Freaky but nothing strange

Freaky Friday is about the exchanged souls of daughter, Anna Coleman, and mother, Tess Coleman. It is a family movie which tells how these ladies exchange their souls by just reading something from a fortune cookie which was given by the owner’s mother while they were arguing with each other at a Chinese restaurant. The passage that they read helped them to understand each other’s situation since Anna is just a teen while Tess is already a mom.

In this family movie, they proved that it is all about the family. The way they fight with simple things and the way they help each other to the problems that every person in a family helps to get rid of it. This is a good movie to watch especially when you are with your whole family because anyone will be able to relate to it.

Of course when we are watching a movie, we are also looking at the actors/actresses skill in delivering their parts. Lindsay Lohan, who played Anna Coleman, and Jamie Lee Curtis, who played Tess Coleman, really did their jobs well and I was impressed especially the scene where they were fighting, it was as if you are watching a real argument of a family. They were good actors but, I noticed that the actors for Anna's friends are not that good in acting though.

Such a good acting, good production and good choice of background music especially when Anna and Tess’ souls were exchanging: the background music was really appropriate to that scene, as well as the ground shaking when their souls went back to their proper bodies. There are also parts in the movie where the scene are really happening in a real-life family scenario.

Overall, Freaky Friday is a good choice of movie to watch with your friends or family, because in this movie you will see the difference of being a teen or being a mother. But of course in the first part of a movie, you will easily know that the ending of the story will make them go back to each other’s souls.

I am going to give them a five out of five stars because the movie was really good though it’s not really connected to the title.
